Where do I buy and sell web sites?

Aaron Pratt asked in a comment where do I buy and sell so here comes the answer.

SitePoint: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=56
Serious place.

DigitalPoint: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=52
Second best place. Sorting by thread start time here

NamePros: http://www.namepros.com/developed-sites-for-sale/
Good place to buy cheap web sites.

Whenever I have “too much” money I will go to those three places and place bids intensively. It is a lot of fun, exciting and intense. Sometimes on the auctions a few minutes can make a whole lot of a difference.

I actually really recommend buying cheap sites. You can develop them, get them up in PR and sell them again for double the amount or just sell links on them ;)

Praveen also provided this one: http://www.dnforum.com/forum48.html

EDIT: October 13, 2006

There is also this site which is nice if you are buying sites: Bizmp.com

To many websites, just 24 hours a day. I want to sell one of my link-directories. How much can I charge for a site with PR4, and where is the best place to sell it? Any suggestions. Thanks, Stig - Norway

    Hi Stig,

The suggestions are the same as above where you buy sites. You will not get that much as we currently have an inflation of directories.

I’m trying to sell a content site I made but am not sure what it’s worth or if anyone wants a site like it. Can you look at it and give me your opinion? I put it up for sale on sitepoint but there are no bids. It’s http://www.bathroomsuppy.org

Forums like sitepoint, namepors, and digitalpoint all have some great sites for sale. I just built a new site to aggregate listings for all of these sites. You can check it out at:

Good post. I was planning to buy link directory with pr2 but the problem is that my country is not approved by paypal. most directories offer paypal as the only option for payment
