The invaluable SEO Guide

Rand has been updating his invaluable SEO Guide some months ago and today I printed it out from his word doc (26 pages) and read it on the bus while travelling.

I must say that I am really impressed. Altough I know a great deal in the SEO business I still encountered a lot of new data and thoughts in this article.

Favorite quote, from section Building a Traffic-Worthy Site:

Why Should a Search Engine Rank Your Site Above All the Others in its Field?

If you cannot answer this question clearly and precisely, the task of ranking higher will be exponentially more difficult. Search engines attempt to rank the very best sites with the most relevant content first in their results, and until your site’s content is the best in its field, you will always struggle against the engines rather than bringing them to your doorstep.

This resource get’s my vote of the best free SEO resource on the web!

I urge you to read it!

I have spent the last week reading various articles over the internet about SEO/SEM, learning new things and jotting them down. But I must say this one site was one hell of a read. It had many quality points and some interesting notes. I agree there with you, when you call it the “best free SEO resource on the web!” Was about to link it on my site too, but was hit by a Denial Of Service.
Anyways people, do give that site a read. It’s well worth it.
