Main BlackHat joined blog of main WhiteHat

It is true, no kidding.

Geoffrey, aka as G-Man, who is probably the most known BlackHat spammer there is has joined the blog of SEOMoz, administered by RandFish - one of the highest profiles in the Pro SEO industry.

RandFish introducing him:

His SEOMoz profile: (he has 100K spam sites)
http://www.seomoz.org/profile.php?user_id=7277

His first post:

Ethical as I am, I don’t really like it. SEOMoz has 2K daily uniques and I believe this information will only increase the spam in the SEs index making it even harder for mom-and-pop sites to succeed and even harder for SEOs to help them.

I think everyone is hooking up with “blackhats” as a form of hype or buzz to get people to link to their blogs. I am not sure how this goes over with clients, do “clients” visit SEO site blogs? I would say a low percent do. Rand Fishkin is seen as a “white hat” so maybe he wants to give himself a harder edge? That is pretty difficult when you wear yellow boots but it’s all good. :)

Yep, I believe only a very small percent do. SEO is too advanced for the general Joe Blow.

    Hehe, his yellow boots. :D

Well, I think he increases his readership and wider his audience and get some more backlinks.

I can’t tell if Matt does this to just say “I am watching you” or he really likes visiting SEO blogs. It’s kind of funny, he visits my blog but never comments, I guess it is because I am not an SEO? Interesting, if you are reading the Mr. Cutts Jim is one of the 1-2% of good SEO’s I believe to keep your manual hand off his stuff dude! ;-0

    Thanks Aaron :)

He came to my blog to read my article about RK:

I also e-mailed him about it, it’s on the above link.

I agree with Jim. Spinning hype and working PR miracles is one thing, hiring a dude who openly says stuff like this is another:

‘He currently resides in Georgia and enjoys spamming the hell out of Google at any opportunity as well as learning and devising new search engine spam techniques. He manages a network of over 35,000 websites and 75,000 blogs for grins and giggles in his spare time. Well, ok, it’s all he does and it’s all spam so nyah! :)
