I agree with the most about what you have said about the human spirit! One of the most iportant things to me is truth! And it is the truth that we are human spirits.And the more truth we will now about the human spirit ,about the laws of life,about why we are here,about our distant past…the more we will be free!

Thanks a lot for your comment and information. Yes, the best writing materials I get from my dreams. Just a few days ago I had a new very interesting dream about a “virtual time travel” that could turn into a new story.

Jim, excellent discussion. I love to see people discussing spirituality.
I think one of the best books I ever read on spirituality, souls and more is a kids book called. “The little soul and the son” by Neale Donald Walsh. He sums it up so simple. On the topic of past lives. I have vivid memories of some of my past lives and definitely feel very tuned into the spirit world and feel my angels and guides by my side whenever I call upon them. The first time i read “Earth Angels” by Doreen Virtue i was entralled with all the different stories, species that she has found to be on our planet. I had also thought some of the same things and found it to be great validation that I wasn’t alone. What a wonderful experience we get to create on planet earth. It’s pretty cool all the choices laid before us and that we get to be co-creators if we please or we can just sit back and allow (not recomended) for the world to create our reality for us! Jim I loved how you said at least two of your sci-fi events came from past lives. My son who is a homeschooler and an avid writer gets alot of his info from his dreams. Me and him both are very avid dreamers with great dream recall. We discuss our dreams regularly. I also have had an outer body experience once that really showed me how when your out of your body, their is no time, anything you think of is instantaneous. Sort of like the movie with Robbin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr. “What Dreams May Come”. I hope I didn’t bore anyone with my rambling. I don’t usually post to blogs. Well, I am sorry but I don’t know or have the slightest idea were the souls came from originally. It was even before the physical universe existed …

When the host dies (the body) the soul reincarnates and takes a new body. I don’t know exactly what happens.

And again, this is my beliefs.

Well, what is the difference between soul and spirit?

I believe that you ARE a spritual entity (call it what you want) that operate a body. Christians usually believe that you HAVE a soul and you need to save your soul etc. but I believe you ARE it.

Anyways, anyone has their believs and it is interesting to hear the different ones.

I for one do NOT believe in past lifes, however i do believe in spirit.
First let me say that i am a christian, and i’m sure by now most people will be thinking oh no..here goes another christian, but just let me state my views.

In christianity we believe that humans are essentially Spirit beings, we have a soul and we live in a body, the very fact that i mentioned “we have a soul” means that i have unwittingly divided the soul and spirit into two seperate entities.

I’m not Indian scholar but i believe ‘ATHMA” means soul and not spirit?

I find it interesting to communicate with people about dream recall in relation to their views on past lives and spirituality. Some people have a hard time discerning among what is real, what has the potential to be real, and what may simply be a figment of their imagination. How would do you describe the difference?

You talk about posthypnotic suggestion? Well, yes. You could get people to do and imagine all kind of weird stuff but I talk about non-suggestion recalls in my article.

As praveen said a Spirit Or Aatma is a pretty famous in this part of the world, and more people believe in them here than any other place. Although i have myself not experienced any such case but have heard of instances similar to what you have mentioned

A very nice article indeed

The spirit is what is called “Athma” in india and has (is) been the centre of all “spiritual” activities here.

Though one doesnt clearly say what happens after the physical self is “dead” to the athma, there are clear indications that it lives on, possibly, in search of another “body” to occupy.

This would be a great topic to talk about when we meet, though i am sure there would be loads of others as well
