Positive PageRank prediction!

New Edit on January 13:

This tool is a bit wacko at the moment, as well as Google and the Google PageRank toolbar. The result it gave was not correct.

Original post:

Pr prediction values

That I like!

The one I really doubt is the last one for PR 6, it will be PR 4-5. And the first one will not be PR 7 - I cannot think that, but it could with the large number of PR 3-4 reciprocals it has been getting (probably about 50).

Will be interesting to see what actually will happen.

ours is a new site but i’ve seen the page rank prediction do a roller coaster ride in the last couple months. from 0 to 2 to 4 then back to 0, then 3. today it came up a 6! i wonder if this is showing up for many sites?

    Hi Jim!
There seems to be some kind of wackiness going on with this pagerank predictor right now.
I checked my sites and they said all to be pr 5-7 and I find that hard to believe.
But It would be great if the results really became realistic ;)
Anyway I hope you are getting your first PR6 this time you kind of earned it you know…
Perhaps I am getting my first pr5 if I´m lucky :)

    Oh, I see.

Ok there is an error on this tool but I think actually the error derives from Google datacenters - a SEO client is also rollercoastering on the SERPs right now and I don’t know what to tell him …

Google seem to be a bit wacko right now, also the toolbar PR values is jumping around a bit.

Anyway, I will edit the post now.

    Jim,

even though that looks real nice i doubt its the real value.

on a bit of self promotion, futuresiterank.com seems to report stable values and is more consistent with what was reported before as well.

    thoughts??

  5. Jim Westergren said on January 14, 2006 at 9:37 am

Yes, it is not correct and you can see I edited the post.

I checked some with your tool but it is a bit “so and so”. I checked 5 sites and 2 I believe but 3 are 100% wrong. But it is a good tool and it should be used together with the other ones for those that are interested in this.

    Hi Jim.

I also posted a pagerank prediction experiment in my blog. We’ll see what tool is best at this, when the update actually happens :)

My website http://www.bis.in.th is ranked 3. Some pagerank prediction sites predicts that its new rank will be 4 but some says 3. How should I believe?

  8. Jim Westergren said on March 29, 2006 at 3:09 am

    Tao,

You should not believe PR prediction tools, they are not reliable.

Pagerank is a big Google secret and it is hard to predict.

I am waiting for PR update. It seems to be a PR5.

  11. Krasz said on June 19, 2006 at 3:41 pm

Those predictors doesn’t work! Chceck some other forums about that. It’s all bullshit, better throw a D10 dice - as good as those predictors.
    Have fun!

Anyone can suggest a reliable PR prediction tool which works right now and covers most DC of google.com

  15. Health Information said on June 25, 2006 at 8:52 am

I’ve used iwebtool pr prediction tool too.

My experience with that tool is that it is not near to reliable. I had a site predicted with pr4 but when the update comes it only has pr1.

I think rustybrick is more reliable than iwebtool

  16. Shoppping Coupons said on July 10, 2006 at 12:05 am

I think for this time iwebtool it’s the best pagerank prediction tool.

  17. Bashar Al Takrouri said on July 22, 2006 at 9:12 pm

This tool is one of the good tools that I am using to predict the page rank. But still not reliable all the time and this is may be because the way that google www2 and www3 work.

i found aa much better tool and a much self explaniotary one

also they have mentioned the algorithm they use on a page having title how we predict pr
    http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/how_we_predict_pr.jsp
i’m much satisfied with results its a realtime tool because reflects the unknown to a lot limit of accuracy i’ll try to see if my site http://www.alcwin.org moves to pr 6 as the predicted by the tool is 5.60 and which means pr 6 from the bottom of the heart for the tool enjoy it!!!!!!!!!

  23. Jim Westergren said on September 21, 2006 at 3:22 pm

Very good John! Thanks for that, the only tool I feel happy about. It gives this site a 6.08 but I want 7 :)

The only way to find out your true PR is to wait until you see it increase on your toolbar. Prediction tools are a joke. I have been using them and they keep showing an increase from PR4 to PR5 for the last 6 months to no avail. Just keep adding quality content and quality links and you will be rewarded.

  25. Jim Westergren said on October 21, 2006 at 9:31 pm

The only way to find out your true PR is to wait until you see it increase on your toolbar.

Actually not because even then it is not correct. When the PR export happens to the datacenters the data exported is usually months old. Only Gooogle knows the present internal PR.

But your ideas was right. Don’t waste time on these predictions …

one of my website was having 0 pagerank before 11th jan 2007 and when I used to check it in iwebtool then it showed PR1 with 100% accuracy. But on 11th jan 2007 that website got PR3. So I don’t think iwebtool or for that matter any such websites are good predictor(because I have used all of them).

I’ve been playing with tool off and on for the last year or so. It has not been very accurate. Tools like this exist mainly for entertainment purposes.

Tools like this exist only for entertainment purposes. I have tryed 20 pagerank-prediction tools and they are all the same.

Google definitely re-evaluated their PR system on the last update. I used to see a PR6 and think nothing of it, now I see a PR6 and think wow, that’s a big site.

So many of my competitors, myself included, were knocked back from PR4’s and PR5’s to PR2’s and PR3’s. Though I think the current PR ranking by Google is much better at relecting the website’s importance. Before, it seemed that any old Tom, Dick or Harry could get PR5.
