New Page Strength SEO Tool

SEOmoz has just recently released a new kick ass SEO tool:

Page Strength SEO Tool

I really like this tool and it is far better in measuring page strength than the crappy PR. Actually PageRank has just been updated and I checked my 45 sites … the values are more weird then ever. The start page of this blog should not have 4 when it has it’s internal pages between 6 and 4 ….

This blogs home page got a page strength of 5 which I believe is quite good. Any of you readers have more than 5?

When you ask, I’ve got some PR6, big deal. PR7 or PR8 would be something.

    Speeking of tools,
have you seen my synonym keyword suggestion tool ?

I’ve seen this new SEOmoz tool. Although it provide some information Aroon Wall’s firefox plug-in seems to be better tool, I must admit.

True. I had 2 other PR6 sites that now went to PR5, anyway. 7 or 8 is the “cool area”.

No, never seen it. I tried 3 queries but got no results, it looks like it is broken.

I need to check that one right now :) I otherwise use SearchStatus.

I’ve just tried my Synonym based keyword suggestion tool for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London and it worked.
You could put http:// before, but you don’t have to.

    What have you tried?

Ohh, it was me that didn’t read carefully. I tried with words and not URLs …

Now it works and I have bookmarked it for later use/reference.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jim,

that is a very nice indeed :)

max i have received is strength of 5 as well.

coming to the PR, i thought the pr for webmasters cavern and submiturlhere would go up.. but they didnt go down either.. so those are fine..

some of the other sites have some weird updates..

homepage have stayed the same but the internal pages have more than the homepage..

    :)

Ya Agreed I like this tool, another great one to add to my bookmarks it’s good to diversify Your SEO.
I thought SEOmoz Page strength tool is pretty neat, although my site was low. (1) not bad for only being 38 days old I guess. I just started to SEO my site so this tool will be a good way to see how it grows. If you bookmark your results page, it will automatically bring up your sites results.
I highly recommend the SEOmoz page strength tool

I check out the tool and loved it, it is a google alternative to pr. But it needs to be in a browser to be more effective for searching good domains.

Is that okay to give weightage to linking of.edu and .gov? my directory has Page Strength of 3, it was 2.5 before a week :)

    Hello Jim,

I also utilize SearchStatus, it has served me well. Our current PR is at 4 with the new update but it is going towards a firm 5 with the next update. The synonym keyword suggestion tool I have found of very little use, it is too cluttered.

    Oh, if anyone knows …

Is it better to have a few PR7’s or a PR8
    linking to your home page?

    Thanks.

that´s a great tool but it´s hard to say that this tool is now the best every.
it´s not bad but support many spammers in my eyes who are looking to spam in wikipedia, gov & edu sites. and that´s not good.

but thx for the link. definitelly funny

Seems hard to get above 5… it’s a nice tool though, and I think it can be valuable to re-check your domains now and then to see if they go up or down. Basically a useful monitoring tool.

There are currently too many active reports running. Please try again in a few minutes. Thanks for your patience!

I have try it for five times. But it alerts everytime. I’m wondering if I’m the only person in this case.
