I don’t know about doomsday scenarios, but it seems true that we, humanity as a race, have gotten ahead of ourselves it terms of technology. We are emotionally and therefore morally immature. Emotions control us including desire, anger, fear, and until we master this our imbalance will manifest in destructive ways. Also, our emotional immaturity makes us easily controllable by those who are both selfish and manipulative.
