List of WordPress ping URLs

Latest update around 2 years later:

Check out The Ultimate Plugins Smart Update Pinger

Check out the big ping list of 56 URLs at this blog post.

I have now added all those URLs to Options -> Writing -> Update Services in the admin, I only had 2 of them already. Will be very interesting what will happen now when I publish this post :)

If you try this, it would be nice if you provided feedback.

EDIT:

Thanks to gobulldogs I have found a plugin that are supposed to eliminate the delays when posting. It is called WP-No Ping Wait (download) and I am testing it now.

New EDIT:

I have now found a newer better and shorter list that I am using instead over here.

I add all of those sites a few months ago and now it takes forever to post. I’m still looking for a better solution.

Check out the No-Ping-Wait plugin for Wordpress to get rid of that wait. Can’t remember where I downloaded it, but you should be able to find it pretty easily by searching.

    NSFW Provider,

strange. When I think about it, me too I didn’t feel any difference after the plugin was activated.

I have however edited the post with a link to a new list that I found better and wasn’t that long.

What’s the plugin you use for social bookmarking and for dynamically creating that link-back text box with the html in it? That’s awesome!

Is there any way you can make your copy of “No Ping Wait” plugin available for download. Looks like the original site is down.

    Thanks.

Careful, dont edit your post several times, because ping serivce will send ping all the times. If you edit your post several times, they can banned you.

If anybody is interested, I have a new plugin that checks for duplicates in your ping list and reports them. It is a good way to make sure that you don’t have duplicate ping services listed in your ping list that could end up double pinging and get you tagged as a spammer.

If you are interested in the Ping List Checker plugin for Wordpress, visit the Spunky Jones SEO Blog.

You should also consider this post if you don’t want to get banned

An alternative would be to automate ping such as http://www.pingblogs.us/
