List of WordPress ping URLs

Latest update around 2 years later:

Check out the big ping list of 56 URLs at this blog post.

I have now added all those URLs to Options -> Writing -> Update Services in the admin, I only had 2 of them already. Will be very interesting what will happen now when I publish this post

If you try this, it would be nice if you provided feedback.

Thanks to gobulldogs I have found a plugin that are supposed to eliminate the delays when posting. It is called WP-No Ping Wait (download) and I am testing it now.

New EDIT:

I have now found a newer better and shorter list that I am using instead over here.

i had abt 10 places to ping to but 56 is always welcome

I add all of those sites a few months ago and now it takes forever to post. I’m still looking for a better solution.

Check out the No-Ping-Wait plugin for Wordpress to get rid of that wait. Can’t remember where I downloaded it, but you should be able to find it pretty easily by searching.

strange. When I think about it, me too I didn’t feel any difference after the plugin was activated.

I have however edited the post with a link to a new list that I found better and wasn’t that long.

i came across with that site too and already configured all of them. The only problem im having is the delay time when posting.

Hi, I have installed the pluggin, but in my Wordpress admin, theres Nowhere in “Options -> Writing ->” to place my ping list! No “Update services button” either. Any advice would be welcomed, thanks…

Careful, dont edit your post several times, because ping serivce will send ping all the times. If you edit your post several times, they can banned you.
