Good way to get many links and PR

I found an interesting thing that worked well for me in order to get PageRank and backlinks.

Here it comes: Get many sites.

I have so far more than 20 sites and I must say that links is no problem now.

I have been buying sites on auctions that already had PR and made those link to my other sites etc.

Also when you see a nice free directory you can submit a whole bunch of sites and thus get that more amount of links.

Recently some major SEO companies in Sweden have been banned by Google for the use of hidden link farms on hundreds of clients sites.

For me, that is not needed. It is enough that I put links on my own pages and the effect would be the same if not better. That way I also have more control of the links and can charge by subscriptions.

Another major factor that can help is to establish a free directory and making some featured listings to those that reciprocal. That has worked extremely well for me.

    Hi,

I’ve never experienced any problems cross promoting my sites. For PR, and more importantly for traffic. I’ve got sites that get 90%+ of their traffic from my other high traffic sites. These sites wouldn’t stand a chance against the others in the search engines, but do well for themselves with this self generated source of traffic.

    Yes, certainly true.

But I heard that the major SEs hit down on excessive cross linking so it should be done a bit carefully.

    That is fully correct.

You should have the sites on different web hosting companies to get the full benefit.

I have plenty of back links but no PR rating. Does anyone know the next time google will update their PR ratings?
