It just goes to show how people love simple answers to complicated questions. You jumped on a really simple (and completely invalid) view to establish what your mind called resolution of the issue.

You were just doing what brains do best: make sense of the issue. It’s where things like religion and cults come from. It’s why people see shapes in clouds and constellations in stars.

It seems like if you were a much more intelligent person, you might have actually given this some real thought and ended up considering more abstract things like goal systems, but you wanted an easy answer and be done with it.
